Ava's journey to motherhood clashes with Ellen's identity crisis. From hunting trips gone wrong to baby scans and unexpected reunions, this thought-provoking comedy digs deep into the roads we take in adulthood and the things we can become willing to give up along the way.
Alva longs to become a parent with her boyfriend, but their struggle to conceive is more difficult than they imagined, straining their relationship and hopes for the future. Meanwhile, her sister Ellen, a mother of three, grapples with her own identity crisis. Feeling trapped in her role as a mother, Ellen has forgotten who she is and what she wants outside of parenthood. As Alva clings to her dream of motherhood, Ellen begins to drift away from her partner, Alex, and questions the life she’s built. Both sisters are on a collision course with their deepest desires and fears, leading to emotional upheavals that challenge their relationships and force them to confront what truly matters.
This original and thought-provoking series skilfully explores family life, social pressures, and the gap between our deepest dreams and our daily realities. Following two siblings on different but parallel paths, it is a fresh new look at the roads we decide to take in adulthood and the things we can become willing to give up along the way.
