A heart-warming drama about baggage and bonds set against the spectacular backdrop of Spain's Camino de Santiago.
Regitze has never felt wholly accepted at home for being who she truly is. Now in her early 30s, she has no job, partner, or children. She is also no longer on speaking terms with her father, Jan. Yet when father and daughter discover Regitze's mother's dying wish was for them to reconnect and follow the 500-mile Camino de Santiago trail together, the two set out on a 260-kilometre journey.
Under the blistering Spanish sun, they find their complex relationship challenged in new ways. Directed by internationally acclaimed director Birgitte Stærmose, this is an emotional story about our most profound bonds and the struggles of feeling different from those we came from.
