An investigative series about how human beings overcome the trauma of surviving dramatic events.
In the documentary series we go into dramatic events and talk to people who have each been exposed to a strong fear and survived. Some of these events are the result of a calculated risk, others are about being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Through contemporary interviews, archive material and reconstructions, we get close to these stories, and go deeper into the very moment of fear. We get considerations from those who were at the centre of the events, but also other people who are affected by such incidents, family, witnesses, rescue workers, police and health personnel.
Examples of events, the landslide at Gjerdrum where 10 people died, the tram murder at Bislet, the horrible fall of the ski jumper Daniel-Andre Tande.
