Welcome to Utmark
In the remote Norwegian town of Utmark, a bitter feud between a hard-drinking sheep farmer and a Sámi reindeer herder spirals out of control after a dog kills a sheep. What begins as a small act of revenge soon entangles the entire community - a place full of eccentric, tragic, and darkly comic characters, from a corrupt policeman and a God-hating pastor to a grieving pimp and an obsessed shopkeeper.
Bleak, absurd, and unexpectedly tender, Welcome to Utmark blends the eccentricity of Twin Peaks, the melancholy of Fargo, and the frontier spirit of a modern western, set against the vast and unforgiving Nordic landscape.
