Friendship, betrayal, and survival in 1980s communist Hungary
Budapest, 1985. Geri, a wide-eyed college freshman, arrives at university eager to begin a new chapter of independence and discovery. But his life takes a dark turn when State Security blackmails him into infiltrating a radical pro-democracy group. Tasked with spying on the charismatic rebel leader Száva and his circle of friends, Geri finds himself torn between loyalty to those he grows close to and the demands of a ruthless regime.
As his double life intensifies, Geri must confront impossible moral choices - between betrayal and survival, freedom and fear, truth and deception. Set against the oppressive backdrop of Cold War Hungary, the series captures the paranoia, sacrifice, and human cost of living under totalitarian rule with striking realism and emotional depth.
