Bert Ljung has just turned fourteen, started eighth grade, and... been dumped. His long-distance relationship with his girlfriend Amira ends abruptly when she breaks up with him over FaceTime. During the fall semester, Bert sets out to find love again, but it’s easier said than done. Along the way, he faces challenges, from charming guitar guys to embarrassing parents and sudden acne outbreaks. Life in middle school isn’t easy. Fortunately, Bert is always supported by his best friends Åke, Thora, and Lill-Erik, who do everything they can to help him through his worries, struggles, and dilemmas. But what will Bert do when he falls for the sister of the school’s biggest bully...?
